We are proud to announce No Borders, our European focused gravel team managed in collaboration with BMC Switzerland and SRAM. Through the team we aim to share the personalities, stories, drama and challenges from gravel racing. Inclusive and open with amateurs lining up next to the pros, and epic courses capable of cutting deep memories and shaping deep challenges, gravel offers a road off the beaten path for riders of all types.
No Borders consists of five riders with different nationalities, all based in Europe. Get to know each and everyone through the introductions following and follow their season on @no_borders_gravel. Together with the riders we will explore the many countries and undiscovered possibilities on gravel roads in Europe and build awareness around our common visions.
I was born and raised in Ireland, and I am currently living and working remotely in Girona. I moved here in October 2020, only planning to stay for three months, but a year later and I am still here!
I started cycling when I took up triathlon six years ago as a hobby during University. It was only last year when I bought a cyclocross bike and moved to Girona, that I discovered and fell in love with gravel. Since then I have done a few gravel events in Girona, and an ultra endurance event on the road. I am really excited for the year ahead to learn and get more experience in some gravel races with my new teammates.

My name is Mayalen, friends call me Mai. I was born in Mexico City and since I can remember I've loved doing sports. It started getting serious at around nine years old when I made the national team for swimming, and didn't look back till around 22 when I moved to Australia and started doing triathlon.
Then I moved to Spain and did a lot of racing here but an injury made me stop running so I took on cycling, I did some road racing, MTB racing, track, cyclocross, also did some paracycling and paratriathlon as a guide and now I have discovered gravel and I am in love with it - the adventure and the community.

Before I started cycling I actually used to be a rower. Rowing is a tough sport, where you need power, technique and a lot of grit. Much like cycling actually. I was a part of the national team and raced several World Cups and World Championships.
One of the my largest achievements was becoming World Champion in my hometown and making the Olympic team in Rio 2016! After my rowing career I finished Medical school and started riding bikes to stay fit. Missing the adrenaline of racing so much, I began racing fixed gear crits, road races and eventually gravel. Living in San Francisco the past two years made me fall in love with gravel racing! Unbound was by far the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, so happy to have finished seventh! I'm stoked to race gravel in Europe and be part of this awesome community!

Hey, my name is Henning and I have been living in Berlin for 20 years now. I have collected more than 500.000 lifetime kilometers and did serious racing on the track, where I competed 12 times at the World Championships. I traveled in more than 60 countries and still love to ride my bike.
I like being outside and photographing. And I like challenges. I completed an Everesting and a 400km training ride in 2020 but still have fun and motivation to race. I am running a small cafe in the center of Berlin, where I luckily bake more than I eat.

I'm Daniel and I have ridden bikes for as long as I can remember. I took it up on a more serious level in the early 2000s starting out mountain biking doing XC Marathons but pretty soon I turned my attention to the road.
I raced pretty seriously for about 10 years and after that I've just kept going. I don't race as much as I used to but still put in quite a decent amount of training. When I don’t ride I run Sweden’s largest cycling podcast "Cykelwebben".
