Designed for temperatures from freezing (or lower when paired with Alpha Long Sleeve) to 50°F/10°C and capable of warding off all but the most torrential downpours.WATER RESISTANCE
The Softshell jacket draws on over six years of development and testing to create a winter jacket versatile enough to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclist, covering a broad range of temps and conditions. We started with an entirely new pattern, working to balance a trim, flap-free fit, with full mobility and comfort, and room to layer underneath.
We partnered with eVent, a leader in high-performance membranes, to develop our proprietary three-layer softshell, incorporating their Direct Vent stretch membrane with Primaloft performance yarn backer and durable stretch woven and DWR treated face. The result is a truly breathable softshell that has the ability to manage moisture and keep the internal climate warm, but dry -- a critical equation for long winter miles. Designed for temperatures from freezing to 50F/10C and capable of warding off all but the most torrential downpours, thanks to its 10K waterproof membrane, it's a one-jacket solution to winter riding.

I just received this jacket and have only ridden it once on a morning ride of around 3 degrees celsius. The jacket feels of good quality to touch and seems to be of solid construction. It felt a little thinner than I was maybe expecting, but the weight of the jacket is reassuring. the pockets on the back are also good size and easy to reach. I wore it this morning with only a short sleeve merino base layer underneath and at first I worried I might be cold, after 5km or so I was pretty comfortable. A long sleeve base layer likely would have been perfect. I can see this jacket easily taking me below freezing with the right layers. Based on the sizing chart, I fell between a S and M. My waist and weight suggested small, chest and height suggested medium. I went for M to ensure I had ample room to layer. The jacket definitely isn't bulky, but I do wonder if a S would have been a bit more aero while still having room for layering. My arms are on the long side so I don't want to risk sizing down and then having short sleeves. Overall pretty happy with the jacket so far.
